Novena for Employment
Day Eight - Waiting
Click to continue

Yesterday I wrote too much, so today I will keep it simple. The verse from Isaiah says it best. If we wait, if we can keep calm about it. God will take care of everything.

Novena Prayer

Eternal Father
whose infinite love watches
in wisdom over each day
of my life,
grant me the light
to see
in sorrow
as in joy,
in trial
as in peace,
in uncertainty
as in confidence,
the way Your Divine Providence
has marked out for me.
Grant me a strong faith
and trust so pleasing to You,
and I will walk
in darkness
as in light,
holding Your hand.
And finding in all
I receive from Your bounty . . .
"that all things
work together for good,
for those who love You."

Prayer taken from a Holy card of the Poor Clare Sisters in Cleveland, Ohio

Quote for the Day:
Decide what you want,
decide what you are willing to exchange for it.
Establish your priorities
and go to work.
H. L. Hunt

First thing.. about the card site move.... this has nothing to do with JoyNotes. JoyNotes is sent out on a completely different server.. so you don't need to worry about any changes with this. It's only with the card site...which continues to develop problems as we speak. What else is new?

I have to tell you that I've found a new comic I like. I haven't really stopped to read the comics in our newspaper for ages and ages but for some reason I did on Monday and I found this one.

Pearls before Swine

It just seems so me. I clipped it out and have it sitting here on my desk. I read a few more of these comics .. a few I didn't care for.. but so far mostly I rather like them! Kind of exciting to find a new comic I like. I mean after Charlie Brown, and Calvin & Hobbes and Zits. Those are still my standbys - when I read them.

Actually we have a Zits day to day calendar in the dining room and we faithfully read that every day. Its kind of a groupie thing. We all have to get our Zits fix. This year we missed out getting it through our regular sources and Sr. Marcia Kay really had to do some heavy serching to get us one.. but she succeeded and we are all happy.

Sometimes it doesn't take a lot to make one happy. To me good comics are a blessing and joy. Bad ones we won't talk about.. we all know there are a ton of those!

Hope your Lent is proceeding along. I told you about my resolution to take my daily vitamins? Well, yesterday came and went and I didn't even think about it! Today, I've made a stab but not the full dosage yet... hopefully will get to those before the night ends. Bet you thought this was more of an easy thing than it is!

Blessings of All Peace and All Good,
Sister Patricia
