Quote for the Day:
The greatest privilege God gives to you is the freedom
to approach Him at any time. You are not only authorized
to speak to Him: you are invited.
You are not only permitted;
you are expected.
God waits for you to communicate with Him.
You have instant, direct access to God.
God loves mankind so much,
and in a very special sense His children,
that he has made Himself available to you at all times.

From "101 Inspirational Stories of the Power of Prayer"

Well, I found out part of the cause of my doldrums. I was dehydrated. That will do it. I hadn't even noticed...but once I did I've been gugling down the water. Glug, glug, glug.

Tomorrow I have to take my mom to another doctor appointment. Poor mom, poor me. I made a special trip this afternoon with my friend Barb to try and find the place - totally missed it because I had misplaced the address and map. (was posted safely on my bulletin board so I wouldn't miss it! Ha ha ha.). So lets hope we get there in one piece, with my head on straight. Sigh.

The book went to the printer! Whoopee! More parts to go... like the 8 page color insert of the prayer places and the cover needs to be done.. but we is on our way! I hope I don't have a stroke before it all happens. Or maybe they will come with their little white coats and find me a nice padded place to stay for a while.

I was late getting grapes to Pi this evening. I knew I was late and I was working on it.. but anyway I turned around in the kitchen and there was this little green thing plowing across the floor wondering when in the heck I was going to get them! She'd obviously plodded right past the dog because Shelley was sort of anxiously following her. Pi has so much attitude that it doesn't matter that Shelley is a hundred times bigger than she is - move out of my way I'm coming through!

Blessings of Peace,
Sister Patricia

FOREWORD (Part Two)

By Jerry Usher

It?s often said that prayer is a two-way conversation. Yet, one of the most common mistakes we make?and I?ve been as guilty as anyone?is forgetting to give God His time to speak. That?s understandable, since we can?t see Him and, barring a special grace from on high, we can?t audibly hear His voice. But there?s so much He wants to say to us. And he longs to have us place our prayers before Him and answer them in a way that?s in our best interests and according to His perfect timing.

A book of this nature is a wonderful testimony to the efficacy of prayer, an inspiring collection of personal accounts of how God has not only heard people?s prayers, but answered them in an amazing variety of ways. Reading such stories can only help us develop a greater trust in God and an eagerness to approach Him with our own heartfelt intentions and petitions.
